With the Swiss Travel Pass, you can travel through Switzerland by train. It allows you unlimited train transport on the Swiss Travel System.
Who can use the Swiss Travel Pass?
Persons with permanent residence outside of Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein can use the Swiss Travel Pass. In addition to the Swiss Travel Pass, there is also the Swiss Travel Pass Flex which allows you to choose non-consecutive travel days.
Where can I use the Swiss Travel Pass?
With the Swiss Travel Pass, you can travel throughout all of Switzerland by train.

Different Passes
Swiss Travel Pass
With the Swiss Travel Pass, you can travel through Switzerland for 3, 4, 6, 8, or 15 continuous days without restriction on the entire network of the Swiss Travel System. This pass is valid for defined and consecutive days.
Swiss Travel Pass Flex
The Swiss Travel Pass Flex allows you to choose the days of your journey freely. You can travel by train on 3, 4, 6, 8, or 15 days of your choice within a month on the Swiss Travel System network without restriction. You are particularly flexible because you can activate and change your travel days at any time.

How does it work?
1. The first travel date is pre-validated at the time of booking. So before booking, think about when you are planning to use the Swiss Travel Pass.
2. After booking, the ticket will be sent to you by email so you can print it at home.
3. For many trains in Switzerland, seat reservations are not required. Simply board the train with your rail pass and choose any open seat. For the famous scenic trains like the Bernina Express and the Glacier Express, it is mandatory to book a seat reservation. Seat reservations are also required for international trains.
Benefits
The Swiss Travel Pass and Swiss Travel Flex Pass include a Museum Pass, which gives you free admission to over 500 museums, and unlimited use of public transport in more than 90 towns and cities. These two Swiss passes also include mountain excursion to Rigi, Schilthorn, Stanserhorn, and Stoos.
With the Swiss Travel Pass, Swiss Travel Flex Pass, and the Swiss Half Fare Card you get up to 50% discount on most mountain excursions.
Good to know
Many are drawn to Switzerland to visit the Jungfraujoch. The “Top of Europe” which is 3,454 meters (11,332 feet) above sea level; however, is not included in the Swiss Travel Pass. Luckily, you can travel to Wengen or Grindelwald for free and then get a discount for your ticket up to Jungfraujoch with your Swiss Travel Pass.
There is also a Jungfrau Pass with which you can travel to Jungfraujoch up to 8 days from the towns below.
