Best Time To Travel To Georgia
Georgia is a year-round destination for anyone and everyone and offers a range of landscapes such as snow-covered mountains, coastline, glaciers, forests, and lakes. Depending on what the priority of the trip is, there may be better times to visit than another.
In springtime, the lowlands are covered with blooming wild flowers, and is a great time to hike in this area and enjoy the comfortable temperatures of Tbilisi. In the summertime, the temperatures rise and the lowlands and capital become very hot but it is comfortable elsewhere. Hiking in the Caucasus mountains is great during this time with no snow, or making a visit to Batumi or any other Black Sea coastal towns will be sure to cool you down.
In autumn the weather can change quite fast between warm days and rainy days, but as long as you pack the appropriate clothes, you’ll be good to go. Enjoy hiking in the lowlands, exploration of little villages (maybe even the famed Vardzia), or a visit to the world’s oldest wine region, Kakheti. A visit in winter is definitely chilly but is great for the ski buffs out there. Enjoy the beautiful country of Georgia!
- High Season: July to August
