Different Passes

If you choose the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass, you have several travel options to choose from. The following options are available:

 

  • 3 Day Pass: This Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass can be used on 3 consecutive days or flexibly on 3 days within 1 week.
  • Flexible 2 Day Pass: This Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass allows you to travel unlimited on 2 days within one week.
  • Joint Pass: This Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass is for those who wish to travel on 5 consecutive days. You can travel unlimited on Taiwan High-Speed Rail trains for 2 days and conventional trains for 3 days. Seat reservations are possible on Taiwan High-Speed Rail trains.

How does it work?

You can order the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass easily and simply online.

You will receive a confirmation email with your voucher after your booking has been confirmed.

You must then present your passport together with your proof of entry (visa-free entry, tourist visa or entry permit) at the Taiwan High-Speed Rail ticket counter to redeem your physical ticket. The Taiwan High-Speed Rail passport must be exchanged at the ticket counters within 90 days, including the payment details. The Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass is valid from the next day of purchase. Specify a validity period for passes or a date for the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass and reserve a seat.

If you plan to travel on the same day you redeem your voucher, we strongly recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes before your desired departure time. Once you have redeemed this voucher, your travel ticket is valid for 28 days. Both travel dates for the flexible 2-day passport must already be selected when redeeming the voucher
To enter or leave the platform, contact THSR staff, and show both your ticket and passport to enter or leave the platform.

If you purchased the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass through a travel agency or the THSR Pass website, you will receive a voucher that can be exchanged for the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Pass. The voucher alone cannot be used for direct boarding.
