Good to know

Best Time To Travel To Slovenia

We recommend travelling anytime between May – September since the weather is the most ideal and some tourism companies often close down for the winter. Slovenia is adventure lover’s paradise with white water rafting, canyoning, skiing, hiking, biking, kayaking and much more; however, Slovenia has stunning scenery and history for those who are looking for a more relaxed trip.

Mainly during July and August, popular destinations such as Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj, see an increase in tourists as well as prices since this is the time Italians vacation to this area and cruise ships dock in Koper. Summertime temperatures are high while spring and autumn temperatures are cool and sometimes drizzly.

  • High Season: July to August
  • Low Season: October to March
