During summertime, the weather can be very hot and wet, and popular destinations see an increase in tourists as well as prices.

During springtime, the cherry blossoms across the country are in full bloom and a wonderful time to go trekking or explore ancient towns. Worthwhile festivals and events to attend are the Cherry Blossom Festival, Boryeong Mud Festival, Seoul Lantern Festival, Jeju Fire Festival, and the Andong Mask Dance Festival.
