TrAIN tYPES
The major rail network in Slovakia is composed of the following trains:
Regional Express (REX) operates as commuter trains, stopping at select stations.
- 1st and 2nd Class offered, however a range of coaches are used for all REX routes, 8-seat compartments to open plans of 3-4 seats per row.

Osobný Vlak (Os) operates as commuter trains, connecting small villages to larger cities.

Rýchlik (R) and Regionálny Rýchlik (RR) are express trains operating long-distance routes across the country which provide quick connections to large towns and cities.
- 1st Class: Rows of three seats (2+1)
- 2nd Class: Rows of four seats (2+2), or a 6-seat compartment
- Trains are equipped with air-conditioning, and most coaches have WiFi and power sockets. On most routes, trains are equipped with a restaurant car offering a range of hot foods and drinks.
InterCity (IC) connects large cities across all of Slovakia.

- 2nd Class: Rows of four seats (2+2), or a 6-seat compartment
