InterCity (IC) operates with Belgian Railway to connect Luxembourg to Belgium, France, Germany, and Switzerland

• 1st and 2nd Classes offered
• Trains are equipped with air-conditioning ad most trains are equipped with a dining car offering a range of food and drinks.
• Reservations not required but recommended during the peak travel season.

TGV connects Luxembourg to Paris, Strasbourg, and Lyon, France

• 1st & 2nd Classes offered
• Reservations required, book as soon as possible
• Trains are equipped with electrical plug-ins, free WiFi, and air-conditioning. Trains are equipped with a dining car offering a range of food and drinks.
• Bicycles are allowed on trains, but the bike needs an additional ticket.

InterCité de Nuit (TRN)

Routes:

    • Luxembourg – Montpellier, France – Cerbère, France – Port Bou, Spain
    • Luxembourg – Marseille, France – Nice, France
  • Reservations included in the sleeping compartment’s price; reservations not required for seats, but recommended to reserve during peak season.
    • Couchette Carriage:
      • 1st Class 4-berth couchette, 2nd Class 6-berth couchette, and private couchette available
      • All couchettes inclusive of bed linens, bottled water, and sleeping package
      • Bathrooms are located in the coach carriage
    • Sitting Carriage:

Best Time To Travel For Luxembourg

We recommend travelling anytime between May and September. You will have the best weather during this time but Luxembourg is perfect to visit year round.
