Best Time To Travel To Ghana
Depending on what the purpose of the visit is to Ghana, there will be a better time to visit than another. The dry season in Ghana is a perfect reprieve from the humidity of the wet season, great for game safaris and to visit the beach; however, the harmattan (the dusty winds blown in from the Sahara) often cloud blue skies which provides poor visibility in terms of pictures. The rainy season isn’t too bad in terms of rainfall and often has blue skies appear after the daily shower, not to worry! Enjoy birdwatching on your trip, visit Mole National Park, maybe one of the castles scattered across the country, or meet some locals at the market. Ghana is waiting for you!
- Dry Season: November to March
- Rainy Season: (in general) May to September, (in the south) March to June, and September to November
