Best Time To Travel To Eswatini
We recommend traveling to Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland, anytime during the year. However, if the primary purpose of the trip is to see wildlife (like the big five) then we suggest visiting anytime from May to September where the country is dry and the animals come out to find sources of water. Parks with incredible biodiversity are the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, Hlane Royal National Park, Mantenga Falls Nature Reserve, or the Mkhaya Game Reserve to name a few. It is also possible to travel to Eswatini from October to April when the country experiences its most rainfall but this also offers the best time to watch birds and also gives you plenty of time to experience the local culture and learn the country’s traditions and history through a place like the Lobamba Village.
- Rainy Season: October to April
- Dry Season: May to September
