TrAIN tYPES
There are two different kinds of trains in Cambodia and depending on the route there could be a train with airline style seating, rows of 4 seats (2+2) and then the other trains have leather benches. Some services may have air conditioning and WiFi.
Phnom Penh / Poipet* to Bangkok via Ban Klong Luk, Thailand border town:
- 3rd Class available
- No restaurant car; however, vendors sell drinks and snacks
- No reservations are necessary, nor possible.
- *When arriving in Poipet, after passing through the Cambodian checkpoint, the Thai border town of Ban Klong Luk is just after the Thai border checkpoint. From Ban Klong Luk, there is a direct train daily to Thailand’s capital of Bangkok.
There are no connecting trains from Cambodia to Vietnam or Laos; however, these journeys can be done with a bus.
There are no sleeper trains in Cambodia.

Best Time To Travel To Cambodia
We recommend travelling anytime between November to April since there is less rain, minimal humidity, and beautiful blue skies.
From June to September the country experiences heavy rainfall; however, most of this season has daily rain only for 1-2 hours per day and then blue skies for the rest of the day.
