Best Time To Travel To Argentina

Argentina is a year-round destination but depending on where you want to visit there may be a better time than another. If hiking is on your agenda, the south, where Patagonia is located, is best visited December to March (the summer months), if wine drinking is on your agenda March to May is best for vineyard hopping, and don’t miss going to the Mendoza Wine Festival in March! Buenos Aires is best visited from April – October in order to avoid the hot temperatures. To get a perfect glimpse into Argentinian culture, enjoy two weeks of free events in the capital city when they host the Buenos Aires Tango Festival every August.

Argentina is home to wonderful wines, the 3rd largest salt flat in the world, the Paramount Pictures Mountain, Iguazu Falls, the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere, and the Perito Moreno Glacier. There are amazing opportunities for hiking in the world-renowned region of Patagonia, chances to spot some penguins on Peninsula Valdes, and an abundance of some of the world’s best steak. Whether you want to visit the salt flats of Salinas Grandes, smell the flowers in spring in Bariloche, or hit the slopes when winter arrives, we know Argentina will be a country you’ll miss when you leave.

  • High Season: December – February
  • Low Season: April – June
